Checkpoint New HFA Released

Check Point Release Notifications alert registered customers to the availability of the latest Hot Fix Accumulators (HFAs) and other valuable software updates as soon as they are released. HFAs and other software updates help you avoid potential issues and maximize the security and benefits of your Check Point products.  


Provider-1/SiteManager-1 R61_HFA-01 is a version update that improves stability and provides enhancements to NGX R61. The R61_HFA_01 wrapper includes the following packages (dependent upon platform):

  • SecurePlatform (for SecurePlatform OS Only) 
  • VPN-1 Power/UTM

ˇ         Multi Domain Server (mds)

Fast and Easy Deployment
The new Automatic Installation script allows you to quickly and effortlessly install packages relevant to your deployment. Extract the R61_HFA_01 wrapper and run UnixInstallScript

Other Changes Include:

  • R61_HFA_01 for VPN-1 Power/UTM includes all resolved issues included in the latest HFA for R60, R60_HFA_04, as well as other newly resolved issues.
  • Administrator Passwords may now contain up to 50 characters. This enhancement requires the installation of SmartConsole R61_HFA_01 as well. 
  • SecurePlatform now supports new network interface cards. See the Release Notes for details. 
  • The build numbers of the installed HFA package can be displayed with the new utility hfa_ver.sh.
  • This HFA includes resolutions to issues regarding Inspect (.def) files, and automatically propagates these resolutions in an inactivated state to each CMA. In order to activate the modified files, the new utility hf_propagate must be run. See Inspect File Installation in the Release Notes for details.

User Authority R60_HFA_01

User Authority R60_HFA_01 is a version update that improves stability and provides enhancements to NGX R60.

Changes Include:

  • User Authority now supports chaining between several VPN-1 User Authority Gateways and within a VPN-1 community. 
  • User Authority on a Citrix/Terminal Server now supports UDP connections.

VPN-1 Power/UTM R61_HFA_01

VPN-1 Power/UTM R61_HFA_01 is a version update that improves stability and provides enhancements to NGX R61.

The NGX R61 wrapper includes the following packages (dependant upon platform):

  • SecurePlatform (for SecurePlaform OS only)
  • VPN-1 Power/UTM
  • Performance Pack (available for SecurePlatform and Solaris gateways)

Fast and Easy Deployment

- For Unix platforms, run UnixInstallScript
- For Windows machines, run Setup.bat
